S.V.I.A.Christmas Parties 

Kids Party                                                            Time 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Join us for an afternoon of   Christmas fun.  There will be food, crafts, music,   balloon creations and a magic show. Santa will stop by   and give every child a present. This is a free event and   all Families and Friends are invited. 

Adult Party                                                   Schorsch Village Improvement Association is inviting   all their Neighbors and Friends to enjoy a holiday   meal, music, dancing. Santa will be dropping by and it   will be a great night of Fun. Doors open at 6:00 PM – Dinner at 7:00 pm
This is an adult only event. Suggested donation for dinner is $12 a person.

Community Corner

Bowlers Wanted Come join the SVIA Bowling League!  We bowl the 3rd Sunday each month beginning SundaySeptember 17th @ 11 AM.  Brunswick Zone 3111 RiverRd.  If interested, please call Tina (773) 286-4302.  

Library events at the West Belmont Branch Library  
Thur. Nov 2nd from 4-5PM: Learn about the amazing Mexican Day of the Dead celebration and make your own Sugar Skull to take home.  Thur. Nov 9th from 5-6PM: Make a corn husk doll.  For more info call Janet at 312-746-5142.
Learn how to cook healthy meals in 4 sessions: Tues. Nov 7th, 14th, & 21st,, & Thur. Nov 28th from 6-7:30PM. Call Layne @ 312-746-5142.
Come, Stay,& Play, on Fridays, Nov 17th, 24th, and Dec 15th, from 10-Noon. Children 2-6 yrs. All Children must be supervised by a parent or caregiver.

SVIA Men’s Club Young men, old men, all men are welcome to the SVIA Men’s Club. We meet the second Wednesday of every month. A $15 donation includes food and refreshments. Next meetings are Wednesday, Sept 12th and October 11th,

Tina Gjertsen, Vice President of Schorsch Village Improvement Association, presented 28 pairs of shoes to Joanne Deuter, Assistant Program Director of Maryville's Crises Nursery, for their needy children. This was made possible with the proceeds from Schorsch's annual golf outing. Thanks to all who participated!
